DeKALB — Regional journalists and journalism educators gathered virtually Thursday for the Northern Illinois Newspaper Association’s annual awards ceremony. The Daily Herald won the general excellence award in the daily category, and the Suburban Chronicle won the general excellence award in the nondaily category.
